Short film: Pixar's The Blue Umbrella

I was lucky enough to be part of the lighting team at Pixar's new short film, The Blue Umbrella and I had a blast working on this project. We tested some new technology on this film and it was very challenging, not only technology wise but also because the look of the film is so different than anything Pixar has done before. The Director also setup a Tumblr account a while ago where we was giving away some insights about the production process of the movie that you can take a look HERE.

The film will play in front of Monsters University and I hope everyone enjoys watching the short film as much as I did working on it.

First shot was lit by Jeremy Vickery and second one by Mathieu Cassagne, both incredible talented artists.

Sneak peek of the film.

Didn't 'The Blue Umbrella' remind any one about the classic Disney short 'Johnny Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet'?
